The Newsy App for iPad has landed in the ‘What’s Hot’ section of the iTunes App Store for the SECOND time.
Apple’s ‘What’s Hot’ section, highly coveted by app creators, recognizes useful, buzz-worthy and quality apps.
Newsy is one of the highest rated of the top-ranking news apps - with the same rating as the highly regarded NPR app.
The iPad is creating a great opportunity for the future of news and we are pleased to be building an app that pushes the envelope and the iPad to deliver on that promise (news customization, community and clarity).
Currently we’re working on the next version of the iPad app - so please get in touch with the features you want! Email us at webfeedback@newsy.com.

The positive buzz about the Newsy for iPad app continues daily in articles, blog entries and social networks - of course we love hearing about the aspects of the Newsy app people appreciate most.
Ranging from the app’s ‘bite-sized portions of news’ for quick consumption, to the easy sharing of videos on Twitter and Facebook, to the ability to leave comments and create your own custom newscast with our playlist feature - it’s clear we have met our users’ wants for mobile video news.
In fact, out of top ranked news apps in the App Store, Newsy is more highly rated than some of the biggest names in news (USAToday, BBC and WSJ) - and on par with NPR - not bad for a startup!
We got this far by analyzing mobile news consumptions trends but more importantly by listening to our users about what they want. Currently we are working on our next version for the app - so please keep the ideas coming! Email webfeedback@newsy.com, leave a comment here or on the Newsy page on Facebook, or reach out through Twitter. We are taking all ideas into consideration!

For all of last week, Newsy was featured as a ‘Weekly Fave’ on the site AllMyFaves.com (see image below).
Newsy was hand-picked by AllMyFaves, which is described as a site that provides nothing but the absolute best of what the web has to offer.
AllMyFaves, a “discovery” site, is an easy way to navigate the Web and an alternative to search. The site is a visual directory of the Web’s most popular sites - each site is represented by a brand logo and falls under one of 11 categories - the Newsy logo is in the upper left corner.
Judging from the amount of bloggers who are embedding Newsy videos, Newsy is clearing becoming a fave of many people. I’ll blog more about that later this week. Stay tuned …
